I think the auction is really clear about what you get…
The only thing that is not really clear is that the 315 used in the 5711 first series had a different balance wheel than the one that is mounted in this watch, it had 4 masses in the balance wheel, this one is the usual with 6 masses.
Also the Geneva sign was much bigger.
But other than that all of the gen parts are rare and expensive.

Yeah but it's still a fake watch, even if you're somewhat upfront about it. It's against eBay's policy. Selling on reptime, RWI or the like where buyers know what they're getting is different than someone who might not know better and thinks this is legit.

It is a way of selling the watch on eBay which clearly has the policy of not selling this type of watches / rep / Franken / f..ke

The description for an advised buyer is sufficient but the guy said as bellow, why to compare with Nautilus value which is not actually

He should sell the parts as they are but not the watch which he is trying to sell avoiding the rules saying that he sells parts but then description of the watch, it is a thin line

Quote on the listing
"

The parts will be sold in the case but if you only want the parts I can remove the parts from the case and sell as is.

Great chance to get a nautilus at a great price. Please note these parts are very expensive, the cheapest 5711 nautilus for sale on either eBay or Chrono24 is $168,000. Similar custom diamond made/diamond incrusted cases are starting at $70,000. I think a standard stainless case is a way better look.
"

Aa above said selling on rep listings or forums is ok but not like he posted

I respectfully disagree (and I do mean respectfully because I know that you're a standup guy) -

The common enemy on the forums should be deception and in this case I don't see any attempt to mislead. The seller made full disclosures, which is something we should encourage (a note about any deviations from the reference, even small ones, however should be made). Also if someone is going to drop tens of thousands, at some point caveat emptor kicks in and there is an expectation that they more or less know what they're reading/looking at.

We could have a whole discussion about what constitutes a "fake" but it's already been argued to death on here by reasonably disagreeing minds - the ship of Theseus, grandfather's axe, etc.

Interested to see what it ultimately goes for.

Currently at $22,400 now. Any guesses what this ends up going for? 68 bids already and 2-days remaining. Seems likely to end at $40k+

Btw, the bottom of the dial in the listing is damaged so hope bidders taking that into account.

Very good catch. Even the hands are questionable, but I think the watch will easily sell for $40k

Good eye. That is definitely something they had to say. That is something that they should have said, with the pictures it is not simple to see and it changes a lot the value of the parts.
One good dial can be 5-8k that dial is worth not more than 2k (I wouldn’t take it anyway for that price…)

Good catch X24222 The listing was shady enough to begin with, suggesting it could be compared to the cheapest 5711 on Chrono24 is laughable at best. He suggests the older calatrava movement is correct for the 5711, when it's not, and he never mentions it has the wrong date wheel either. Someone's gonna waste a ton of money on this build unfortunately.

The watch needs to be broken down and sold for what it is. It’s going to end in tears somewhere down the line.

This seller has been a little liberal with the truth but future sellers could be out and out scammers.

I have zero-very limit knowledge about PP's, but if this has original dial-hands-dw-movement, 20k its very fair price

Like pointed out:
-dial is ruined, and not just a small scratch…
-dw is wrong
-movement is genuine patek but wrong for the model, it is true that the first nautilus used the 315 movement but was modified in the balance wheel respect this one

20k may be fair but I doubt that would ne the selling price, someone would not see what I wrote above and bid much more…

I sometimes feel the same way about selling franken’s here. My last buyer turned out to be a scammer.

Really? I must have missed that.

He scammed you? Or used it to scam another buyer?

Oh yeah I read that thread, he’s a serious scammer. One day it will catch up with him and he’ll get his comeuppance.
