Where I need to be.
Just for sharing, this is a build done for a member here with:

1. Gen green 15510ST dial
2. Gen 15510ST green datewheel
3. Custom second hand and refinished hands
4. Custom thinner bracelet (2mm at the thickest point and tapering down)
5. APSF 15500 midcase, which will be reworked slightly to 15510 specs

The hand and bracelet were done using the measurements of the corresponding parts of one of my gen.
There will be a bit more work needed with the surface finish, tapering, polish, and slight reshape of the case.

Just for sharing.

That's a great looking piece A. One don't come across the green dials very often; was it difficult to source the dial and DW?

Yes it is relatively rare but I can order 1-2 sets more if need be from my source. Thank you M.

Are you able to source and build the same for a 15510 black dial?

I keep coming back to this thread to look at that custom build. Quite possibly my favorite watch on this forum. Outstanding! Now we need the lucky owner to post some wrist shots!

Looks very close, if I didn't have the gen of that watch I wouldn't think twice it was a 15510.

The biggest differences though is the size, the 15510 is much thinner in the bracelet and there is barely any gap between the indices on the dial and bezel.

Here is my gen 15510 green dial for comparison.

Let me worry about that.
Thankfully I do own more than one gen 15510 and I’m fully aware of what needs to be done and with more than one gen 15510 I can even check for consistency and variance. Believe it or not I have a collection (which has some 15510s too) which I can take reference to myself and do the necessary comparisons and refinement work.
So you can leave those worries to me and relieve yourself of this onerous burden.

So just to confirm, you own more than one 15510 and can check for variance? Excellent news. Nice to know the onerous burden is not on myself and you can reference your collection of 15510s, as of course, no collection is complete without 15510s ;)

Glad we are all on the same page :giggle:

Don't forget it does have a gen dial, so any indices etc are no different
I can guarantee you calling this out from the wrist is impossible
Only tell to handle over it and check the balance of the movement

I do think that there’s some little differences to gen Mr I and currently I’m working on the case and bracelet as well. Thanks for your help!
