This timepiece is crafted with all original Rolex components (including a gen 3186 movement), except for the midcase.
The midcase is a rare Version 2 Clean, the only one with 1:1 crown guards and the perfect fit for the Rolex 3186 movement.
As many of you know, I’ve built numerous high-end Franken watches, but I believe I’ve reached the pinnacle with this build.
It’s essentially a practically GEN watch at least €4,000 below the price of a genuine one.
All the components are priced at retail value rather than current market value!
I purchased the watch here on the forum from the States for approximately €6,300, including customs fees.
Once it arrived in Italy, I sent it to @Johnny Depp watchmaker, who performed the following mods:
- Installed a new genuine bezel and insert because the one mounted was not gen (cost: €1600);
- Polished the rehaut using his extraordinary method (€ 70);
- Fitted a genuine Rolex GMT bracelet (€ 1850).
