Hi

Ive seen a really nice franck muller crazy hours watch that hont is selling for $257. I dont know if its worth buying it for that price? Its a really nice price, but my only concern is the movement. Any advice?

I bought one for my wife, though not from hont, and the functionality is correct on hers with the jumping hands. I assume that is what you were asking.

Stunning rep, i actually prefer the diamond SS version. I had a cheapo crazy hours reps before not sure what the movement was, but it changed every hour like a treat. I'm near sure these where alot more expensive when they where 1st released.

i have never had one but the owners say that modded 21j is solid. i would be more worried about one of those diamonds falling out. not my style btw....

Yup, they jump. It's a modified 21j and is surprisingly reliable. There is a post somewhere explaining how it works. Guanaco is your man for a more detailed opinion.

You have any wrist shots or pics SwissOmega? Is it this exact one that you bought?

LOL mosh_2k7, you've already seen one of my Crazy Hours ;) I could have told you...

This modification is quite simple, they remove some teeth from one gear so the hand moves 5 hours forward instead of 1.

I haven't had any problems with my SS version that I wear from time to time and I haven't heard many complaints. Still you could go, get a cheaper CH and replace the movement ;)

Please also mind the back, there are some with terrible spelling mistakes about ("Casablamca")

Wow. Thanks for all the replies. I already own a cheap crazy hours watch that i brought for £60 a few months ago, but wanted something that was much better quality and has a much better movement. All the crazy hour watches ive seen, come with asian 21j movements. I havent seen a single one with a modified swiss or asian eta movement. So would it be relatively easy to put a swiss eta or asian eta movement into the watch and get it modified? If im paying that much for a watch, i just dont want the movement dying on me. My other choice is to get the same watch without the crazy hours function. It has a asian 2836-2 movement 28,800bph, compared to 21,000bph in the crazy hours watch.

Also i dont like the fact that the movement is held in place by a piece of tacky plastic :(

The stainless steel diamond version, the movement is held in place by a metal piece:
