An exceptional opportunity for true connoisseurs of fine timepieces: This is a 1-of-10 custom-commissioned Omega Worldtimer build in Sedna Gold. The story of these is long in the making. I’ve long been a fan of the Omega Worldtimer collection. No rep exists of this variant. I’ve detailed this build in the form of a short overview on a few different occasions in various corners of the rep community. I’ve gotten a tremendous outpouring of interest asking to do commissions and to make more of these, and I declined to as that’s not something that interests me. This is the first time one of these have been listed in the open market.
The Story Behind the Watch
Born out of my personal admiration for the Omega Worldtimer collection because of my extensive love for traveling, this project was a passion-driven pursuit to create a timepiece that embodies the essence of the original in every detail. Leveraging my graphic design expertise and studying genuine samples, I extracted the correct fonts and developed the dial and its component parts myself, and had it made.
This piece is part of a exclusive series of just 10 watches that were commissioned, in addition to a single test unit made – making a total of 11. Of these, three remain in my personal collection, while the others are with my close collector friends. This is likely the only one of these that will be made available for sale, and certainly the first one.

VSF Base Worldtimer Movement
- Fully functioning movement that has long been praised in these forums and in the community. A great base for this watch, and arguably the fact that this movement is functionally and visually so close to gen, is the reason I decided to build these.
- Sedna Gold Wrap: The case was wrapped in Sedna Rose Gold, color-matched to Omega’s stunning rose gold alloy, achieving the unmistakable warm tone and luxurious luster unique to this material. It was extremely hard – as rose gold plating tends to be as it is – to get this right.
- Unlike fly-by-night platers the world over, the watch was taken apart down to each individual link and screw and plated. No hidden steel inside.
- Custom CNC Two-Piece Dial: After the design was made, this two piece dial was constructed to match the genuine Omega Worldtimer. A steel disc, cnc machined with the teak-deck motif, was anodized and painted with a frosted opaline finish as per gen. Polished and brushed lumed indices were applied.
- Graphic Design Precision: I extracted the relevant fonts off genuine Omega samples, making sure there was no differences. Incorrect fonts drive me nuts.
Movement and Finishing
- Custom Rotor: The rotor was meticulous finished with graining, polished surfaces, perlage, and anglage as per gen
- Balance Bridge: The same graining, perlage, and anglage techniques were used as gen
- Lumed Hands: Custom lumed hands were made with matching lume as the indices as per gen
- Full Disassembly and Fine Tuning: The movement underwent complete disassembly, and runs perfectly.
