I have a Breitling SA that's about as GEN as you can get. Breitling parts are a lot cheaper, and more readily available , and you would still have a hard time doing this project for the price mentioned. I just don't see how that's possible. Those of us with Super Frankens can tell you what the real cost ends up being.

We're talking about replicas here mate, no one is going to be doing frankens

Mmm... is it really worth it being the price of say, 5 regular reps when the differences are so minimal?

I think it depends on the watch. I think we all have at least one watch that costs ten to a hundred grand that we could or would never buy but are really in love with and for me its the ROO and if I had the chance to buy a near perfect rep for $1000-1500 then I would save up and sacrifice 3/4 other rep buys but probably not for any other watch - my limit would otherwise be a sensible $500. Just depends if this is Your Watch.

And as Klockis has updated things are hotting up on repgeek. I think there is an awful lot of goodwill and desire for this so despite the many many obvious problems I think it has a decent chance at $1500.

And lets not forget half the fun and point of a rep forum is solving problems and working together with and encouraging like minded people. The gen forums are for people who want all the problems sorted in the price.

All right, this thread ends here, miocrow you are suspended till further notice as it came to my attention that money are being collected via pm.
Rules are clear and we gave fair warnings throughout the thread.
Rep geek does not support group buys and collecting money in advance is absolutely forbidden and considered a violation and a reason to be banned from the forum.
No member should buy assuming we have any approval of this or without a watch in hand.
Hope the best for everyone involved,me and the staff will not get involved if things go south.

I doubted this project would have gotten any further than that point, anyways.
