Ok, I have posted a time or two before on a similar subject. As a lot of you, I am a Panerai fan throughout. One watch I very much enjoy is the 183. Unfortunately it is hard to come by a good rep. I have actually owned several, and parted several out in an attempt to have a good set up.
Before I continue to pour money down this rabbit hole, I have decided to stop and consult the experts... In current form it has been super lumed movement serviced, and cannon pinion flushed and polished. I'm considering sending it to vac for AR, and y incabolic.
I have had 3 183H dials. While there is differences in all of them, one thing they all share is that they are not a true vibrant black like my 312 has. They all are a matte black/ dark grey color. Some lights its more noticeable than others. I have posted a pic showing it in the most noticeable light. You can see the variation in dial to hand color. The hands are much darker richer black.
My question is, is this how the gen is? some pictures I see it looks deep dark full black, while others it appears similar.
Yes I know, no rep is perfect, and the 183 is farther from it than some, but I would appreciate your input all them same.
