Hi all,

I've just purchased an M2M PAM 1616.
It's an absolute beaut, only thing is, the CG lever is a tad loose when you open it to adjust the time.

Now, I'm aware (and most of you probably are) of the hot glue fix, which is basically where you remove the CG lever pin, fill the slot with hot glue, then stick the lever pin back in.
It's a bit more complicated than that, but that is a good summary.

Now my issue with this is, this hot glue method requires you to heat up the metal CG quite a bit.
Now I'm not sure how much heat the Carbotech material can take.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Here's the PAM1616 in question!

I had the same issue. I used locklite and it worked great!

Sorry, do you mean Loctite?
If so, could you share with version you used, and how you did it?

I have Loctite 243 which I usually use on the micro-screws (such as the ones holding the CG), but unsure how it would work on the CG Lever.

Loctite 243 is fine.

I opened the lever to the open position.
Adding 1 x drop to the lever hole, red circle.
Adding 1 x drop to the inside if the crown guard – this to make the space tighter for the lever.
Keep the lever in the open position

Let it harden for 60 min – after check if the lever is more firm but done close / lock it.
See if you need to add another drop on the underside of the lever hole.

After 24 hours the space inside the crown guard now have a layer that will keep the lever in place + the lever should be much harder to move.

Don’t spill, don’t use too much!
