Fishy submariner, might be repro, might not, seller is playing dumb.

Never mind, I was trying to post an ebay conversation with a seller that was selling obviously fake submariners and playing dumb, but the forum keeps saying I am trying to post a link when I am not...
As I was surfing fleabay, I came across a super cheap sub. The first listing had it for $200 and was stating it was original, I put it on my watch list (haha...get it...), then the next day, it was pulled. I checked back at the seller and noticed he had re-listed it for #50, I put it back on my watch list and messaged him. He did not reply. Then, the listing was removed, and he re-listed it, again, for $500. I messaged him again and this is our conversation...

I'm confused as to why you changed the price. It originally had a buy it now of $50, which I was considering, and now it is $500. Also, when you say quartz, do you mean the tick-tick-tick movement of the hands, or does it have a smooth, sweeping movement?

He sent me some photos of the watch, and holy crap are they bad. Too bad I can't post links. You guys would love to see them. Improper cyclopse, no magnification, wrong size, they look to be like watches for midgets.

Search the model of your dream watch and read everything you can about it. Put "build" in the search title see what comes up.

You can start a new thread in general discussion stating what you want to build and asking for advice, but you should search the model and read as much as you can prior to posting, you will get much more revelant advice if you ask specific intelligent questions as to what you are looking for. I.E.- something like "I want to build a 1680 red and need movement advice, DG2813 or Miyota 8125?" Instead of "I want to build a bitchin submariner what do I need"....
