First time watch purchase experience

After a lot of time researching on this forum (and dare I say Reddit??) I finally decided to take the plunge as a 30th present to myself!



Went with Sead(supermirrors) mostly because the UK stock but also due to his reputation here. Great decision. From initial contact to watch in hand it was 7 days (4 working days due to bank holiday).



The watch is a VSF DJ41 fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet with grey dial, and to my eyes and the people I have shown it to the watch is flawless, arrived well packaged and exactly as described! Now I need to decide if I will buy a watch toolkit and remove 2 links myself or pay a local jeweler.



Communication from Sead was unbelievable considering he is on an entirely different continent, replied to all emails within 24 hours and made the process very straightforward for a first time buyer.



Will 100% buy from him again and have recommended him to a family member who is also interested in picking up a great rep.

Watch confirmed in stock, payment Tuesday, Wednesday AM confirmed.

UK to UK. Simple right? The cut off for today’s Special deliveries just passed and I’m still without Watch.

Some perspective, ordered some Ali Straps from China Wednesday PM, they will be with me tomorrow… from China.

If you want a quick turnaround on postage go with EU stock, Italy to my door in under 48. I can deal with Seads short comms and short responses but not getting the product out the door is a wind up.

I’m not new to reps or the amount of time these things take. I waited months for a certain VSF model during the raids.

When someone promises UK stock and charges a premium to do so they should be able to meet expectations.

TLDR: Impatient asshole moans.

Sorry to hear your experience hasn't been quite so smooth! From an email I received I gather that it's not actually Sead in the UK, he has a partner in the UK who deals with dispatching from UK stock.

This was my first order for a rep so I didn't have anything to compare with.

I ordered from Sead 2 watches, Italian stock and shipping within the EU, unfortunately the selected shipping company was the slowest ever. It took over 10 days for delivery within the EU.

I am very happy with the watches and their quality but waiting for the package was so stressful and annoying. I received another order from China from another TD and it took less time to get delivered on normal shipping (Not expedited!).
