Hi Everyone! I’m brand new to this community and the rep world so just learning as I go given the huge amount of information but I love the resources that have been put together here! I have a few questions here and looking for my first Submariner to purchase:

1. Jtime seems to be priced higher than other TD’s, do they offer a higher quality rep than other TD’s? I’ve noticed the models I want to buy are marked as “BEST VERSION” in their titles so I want to know what makes them best. I’m mainly looking for the absolute best quality versions.

2. Are two tone Submariners not a good buy as mentioned on other Reddit posts? I’m loving the bluesy two tone model but please steer me away if its much better to just get a stainless steel model. I’ve been told two tone will require me to spend money replating.

The models I’m interested in are below:

1. https://jtime.io/us/submariner-41mm-126613-lb-yg-ss-904l-steel-vsf-1-1-best-edition-vs3235.html

2. https://jtime.io/us/submariner-41mm-126613-ln-yg-ss-904l-steel-vsf-1-1-best-edition-vs3235.html

3. https://jtime.io/us/submariner-41mm...c-904l-steel-vsf-1-1-best-edition-vs3235.html

Thank you all for this great community and looking forward to contribute back in any way I can!

I am fairly new here as well, but my opinion on "Best". It seems to me that many of the dealers are Chinese and use "best" because of language barrier. Most dealers appear to sell most of the same watches for the same factories, though some dealers may have better relationships with certain factories over other dealers. If you search for each specific models and look for reviews on said models, you will find what works for you or doesn't. There does not appear to be 1 perfect clone of gen watch. Some factories do certain details better than others. You just need to find what you are willing to be good with. Also, on the Rolex side, it seems like there is decent market for upgrading "FRANKEN" watches that start with a rep and add in gen parts to achieve a desired effect.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks man! I'm actually planning to start with a top quality rep and then doing the Franken parts on it after. Where do you purchase those parts? Do you know who can build franken mods?

I am too new to this

I am too new to this part of it and Rolex are not really my thing. At some point I may get a GMT master II meteorite dial and possibly a blue dial steel Daytona, but those are so low on my list that a good rep will be sufficient for me. I would suggest searching for Franken mod Rolex's.
