Even though I had just bought my 6th rep (1st through a TD, the first 5 reps via M2M) and I had vowed on New Years Eve to not buy any watches, neither gen nor rep, for at least the first six months of 2023, this vow held up for a mere and quite embarrassing 72 hours (actually less than that LOL).
The object of my desire this time: A (long desired) vintage rep (similar to the Omega 165.024 ref) of a Seamaster 300 T-dial, No-Date, Big Triangle with an A2836 movement. My first choice was actually Inti**, the TD of my previous purchase, but since A) some minor after sale issue unfortunately arose which Ry** was unable or unwilling to rectify (but it was okay in the end, since I was overall happy with the received rep) and B), more importantly, Hont had the same exact Seamaster 300 for a much better price on sale (including shipping), I ended up switching to Hontwatch for my 7th rep purchase (2nd through a TD).
The timeline so far:
01/03/2023: First contact via WhatsApp, I inquired about aforementioned rep and the availability. Received positive response along with the payment options.
01/04/2023: Submitted a few further questions about QC times, shipping options etc. Received answers and confirmed I would pay the same day. I picked EU wire transfer, since it seemed to make most sense in terms of cost, as I am EU based. I paid and forwarded the payment slip to Hont and repeated the exact instructions as to which model to source (Big Triangle, No Date, T-dial) plus I forwarded my shipping address.
01/05/2023 Received confirmation with a very compact and efficient "I will check".
I will update here on the further progress.

), winding is more firm than smooth, but feels very satisfactory. Hacking and time setting per the large and robust feeling crown feels stable and proper. Performance wise the movement seems to work fine so far, but of course that's impossible to know for sure after just a few hours, although up until this point no obvious problems have been encountered...
