I wanted to give back to the community a little bit, as I recently purchased my first rep through DukeReps. I feel like the information I gained here and on Reddit. It was super beneficial and saved me from anxiety, as from what I can see, buying replicas can be quite a stressful experience for any newbie.
I am by no means a watch connoisseur, but I love watches and have always been drawn to the likes of Omega, IWC, and Tissot. So I was very interested in scouring here and Reddit forums for trusted sellers and dealers. I landed on DukeReps as I felt that his comparatively cheaper prices and overall positive feedback convinced me to proceed with my first order. As my knowledge was limited, I decided to go for a VS factory Omega Seamaster Diver. There was a lot of information on the grades of replicas out there, and they are pretty popular, so I felt I could maybe find more info on what to look for in a quality check.
First Point of Contact with Duke
My first time contacting Duke was good, as he was pretty responsive and didn’t mind my long list of questions. His English was good, and it was easy enough for him to explain what the graded models of watches got you for your money. This was all done through WhatsApp, and over 3 days, I felt enough trust to make the order.
The Ordering Process
When I had decided on the watch, Duke asked me to pay via PayPal through the "friends and family" function. I honestly felt nervous about this and really delved into the forums before clicking send for my funds. This seemed to be a common stress among newbies, so my post is here to partly let the community know that this process is normal with Duke, and I had a positive experience. Duke took 2 days from the time that I sent the money to when I received the QC photos. If I'm honest, I didn’t really know what I was looking for other than what the forums could guide me on. I uploaded an image of the face to https://watchqc.github.io/ to check for alignment, which was all good, and relied on the final photo I was sent, which included the watch on a time grapher (I'll include that photo below). Everything seemed to be in order.
Delivery Times
I am located in Australia, and when I Googled delivery times, they varied from 10-30 days. I gave Duke my address and had him verify it, after which he sent me a link to https://www.17track.net/en along with my tracking number. The watch took 15 days from the day that my tracking details were sent to me to landing in my letterbox. So overall, this experience was good as I could continually check on delivery updates.
What I Received
When I opened the packaging, I was pleased to see the watch had ample bubble wrap and was protected from any bumps or scrapes in transit. To my untrained eye, I am thrilled with this watch and very happy with its quality and function. I am overall super happy with my watch and have since ordered an IWC Portugieser and a Cartier Tank for my wife. These watches are due to arrive in the next day, and I can confirm that the order and send process was very similar (it took 2 days longer for QC pics as they came from different factories).
I can overall recommend DukeReps, and my experiences (with my limited knowledge) were positive. I hope this post can provide some peace of mind to first-time replica buyers. I have attached some pictures of my purchase. Feel free to comment on whether they are decent or not; either way, I'm happy.
Cheers
