Hi,

Tired of sucking up to Rolex ADs for a SS watch, and dealing with the exorbitant prices in the secondary market, I have finally given up the hope of ever acquiring a genuine Rolex. Then thankfully chanced upon RepTime Reddit post. And I'm here to buy the best possible replica of some Rolex watches (to start with)... my inexperience with the replica market, as well as with Reddit notwithstanding.

I have already made the first purchase.. went for my personal favourite grail "everyday" watch Rolex Explorer 1 (for which I was getting laughed out of the ADs for).
Since I wasn't familiar with the dealers or factories, I just went for one which appeared "trust"worthy.. TrustyTime. :D

If the deal goes well, this is by no means the last watch I would be buying. I am well aware that you guys must be getting truckloads of 'help-me' messages like this.. but any advice in this regard will be very much appreciated. I will do my own research of course, but pro-tips would be very useful, regarding which Rolex models are best made, which factory to choose from etc etc.. or whatever that you might think would help a noob.

Thanks in advance!

Milan.

Hello and welcome from another noob. The Situation in UK AD's is a difficult one for anyone not living here to understand. I was in an AD in Manchester before all this covid and while they were being very polite, it was clear I wouldn't be walking out with the watch I wanted, while other customers were enjoying coffee and having smoke blown up their skirts. For many of us, the king is indeed in the altogether and congratulations on recognising it. Patience is the hardest thing with reps, if you (like me) have none, there is always the Member sales area while you wait for your purchase to arrive from Trusytime. Good choice the Explorer, flies nicely under the Radar. Spend as much as you can afford, obviously but the most expensive may not always be the best version of the watch you're looking for. Sometimes the older versions are discounted and for most people, still as good.

Very helpful, much obliged.

Was seriously considering buying a preowned Explorer for an exorbitant amount the day I chanced upon the rep world Reddit. Couldn't wait even a couple of hours before pulling the trigger for a Noob Explorer! :D
Yeah, I guess should check out the member sales area.. however with my limited experience and knowledge I'm worried I might make a fool of myself.

Thanks again!

No problems, the member sales area is a good way of getting what you want quickly and it's nicely controlled by the mods so things go smoothly. If you are going to make a fool of yourself go big and laugh at it. ;)
