Hello everyone! I decided that for my first decent rep I want to get a Panerai! I just love the way they look and how you can switch the straps. I'm still in university so right now my budget is kind of tight. My budget is no more than 200 dollars, good thing is I noticed toro has some good deals on pams. I want help from you guys cause you seem to know a lot about reps and this community is really helpful.

I really like the panerais that only have the numbers like the PAM000

My question is:

What pam would be the best choice for me in terms of movement (good realiable one, not looking for the best though), lume (love when the lume is strong and long lasting) and looks? Of course considering my budget is 200 dollars tops.

Thanks!

PAM000 - Logo
PAM372 - 47mm (Noob)
PAM114 - white dial
PAM112 - No Logo
PAM176 - Titanium
PAM056 - Destro Titanium
PAM219 - Destro

Take your pick. Most if not all should be available around your price range.

The way I see it is that the 390 with its tobacco dial will make it harder to match any kind of straps (you would usually need to stick to brown coloured straps for the 390) as compared to a 112, so that's something to take into account if you are planning on having a wide variety of straps.

I would personally choose the 390 (or an 000) due to the fact that it has a closed case-back (much more accurate than the open back of the 112) and is closer to the original/historic PAM DNA (due to the painted sausage dial). However in term of quality you can never go wrong with Noob PAM's.

You can also look at KW PAM 411? Super rep and the movement is reliable. Also within your price range.

PAH the 372 is the fatter uglier cousin of the 390. I wouldn't recommend a 47mm as a first PAM.

Much prefer the 372 to the 390 or any other PAM really.

Just make sure you can pull off a 47mm watch first. I can and my wrists are just shy of 8".

Yeah. I have small wrists so I'm probably gonna get the 399 because it's 44 mm

Hi,
I'm a first time rep buyer to.
I wanted the 390 noob to but torro couldn't get it, then I went for the 372 noob and i'm happy with it. Looks good an feels real solid.
And I also have a small wrist 7" ish, and it doesn't look bad :)

Dude Listen to me dont get the 390, I dont give a monkies that its the the most gen like , a pig is a pig , its wrong , all these guys are PAM freaks they have 20+ pams in their boxes goo with 000

Look here , the 390 was made from some stuff they had left over in the parts bin
The brown dial is only good for Titanium watches
Gold hands for 1950s and Rads,
Orange Lume I dunno what thats good for ?
and the big feckin hole/space at the bottom of the dial!!! its un balanced

the 000 is perfect
