First Time Buyer from Andiot - PAM 1229

I've ordererd the PAM 1229 from Elliot via Facebook Messenger.

A quick look on the website said "In Stock", still like today.
The payment was done with Remitly. After that i sent the screenshot of the payment to his email.

There was a little issue, because he hasn't give me a order number, like you get, when you are ordering from the website. So he had problems to identify my order for the payment.
After a few messages, i finally get my order number: AD1187

But unfortunately, until today the watch is not in stock. Last week he said, VSF will come around the 14.12. , but he didn't get them actually.
So, for me, there is no new watch to xmas, and i have to wait again some time...

Facebook Messenger? Also Elliot uses 'AEXXXXX' not 'ADXXXX' format for QC. Never heard of him accepting Remitly either.

I usually don't care for updates on reviews, but did you receive any QC/confirmations for this watch so far?

I'm still skeptical about the format of the Order Number you were provided, the generic 'waiting for stock' deadline pushing and I've not heard Elliot selling through his Facebook account before.

Can you confirm the website you browsed on before contacting Elliot was the official Andiot Watches website? And that you're talking to the official Elliot Black account on Facebook?

No, i didn't received the QC so far.
Last Contact with Elliot Black on FB messenger was on the 17.12.

I sent him the link of the watch and started the order on facebook messenger:

He gave me the payment methods mentioned above, and i paid with Remitly with an instruction of him.

Hi there on RWI,

just a little update:
I've got good news and not so good news.
Today I received the QC-pics of my order AD1187 and the DHL tracking number.

Unfortunately it's now the wrong watch on the QC.
It's a PAM 1386, not the ordered PAM 1229.

I'm in contact with Elliot...

New Update:

The wrong PAM 1386 is already via DHL on the way to me, because i got the QC pictures from 24.12. just today, too late for stop the shipment.

He orders now the PAM 1229 for me - For the wrong 1386 he has already got a buyer in germany.
So when i receive the wrong watch, he will cover the shipping costs from me to the another buyer in germany. So there is no need to send it back to CN.

Update:
I've received new QC-pics just a few hours ago.

Unfortunately the pics / videos are again from a PAM 1386 - The wrong model, which is already on the way to me via DHL.
I just sent him a mail to prevent him from sending the second one to me and showed him again via email, which type is correct. (PAM 1229)

What a journey.

Update:

Yesterday i received the wrong watch (PAM 1386)
I told Elliot, that the watch is now arrived.

He gave me the shipping adress from the another buyer in germany and sent the money for the shipping costs via Revolut for the transfer in germany.

Today i received the money, and i immediately sent the watch to the second pam lover somewhere in germany - I mailed the tracking details to Elliot, so that he can give it to the buyer.

Now i am still waiting for my QC pics for the 1229, i've ordered - Waiting since my order on 16/11/2024 - but i'm sure it will be good.

Finally:

Yesterday the german watch friend received his watch from me (the wrong pam) and i got the QC-pics of the correct one:

Yesterday the correct watch arrived here.

I was so happy to receive the watch finally after months - But there are now two mechanical issues.

1.
The caseback has a ding/scratch deeper in the metal (not polishable because brushed), which you only could see, when you remove the caseback foil.

2.
The bezel is extremely loose. You can lift it up and down and wobble it in all directions. It clatters.

I contacted Elliot and told him the issues - He cares about the shipping costs back to CN, but was first unhappy i removed the caseback foil.
But i explained him, that i saw the ding only without the foil.
So i have to send it back to him after CN new year in february, and he tells me then, if i get a refund or can order another watch from him.

Unfortunately no happy ending, but he cares and supports me with this.

Was looking at Andiot because of the price savings compared to other TDs, and even sent a link to a friend who's thinking of buying his first rep. After reading this odyssey, I've reconsidered...

I think, i am an exceptional case - But Elliot still cares about me, and i've got another PAM's to wear meanwhile - So i can ride it out till to now.

I've got not the feeling today, that i will lose my money, after sending it back to him. And he promised, to refund me the ~23 EUR shipping costs from DE to CN.
