Hello

I've been doing some reading up on RWI regarding reps and TDs and the likes. Ended up going with Steve.
I started off ordering a GF Cartier.
Got in touch with Steve today (15/3/22). I wanted a medium size with a dark dial but his site only lists one with a white dial (asked Steve about dial color options and he mentioned the same).

Payment via CC (no bank issues) - 15/3/22
Status - Order processing

I'll wait patiently for QC pics since I know I'm not his only customer and that he doesn't source and sell watches 28hrs a day.

I'll keep the thread updated (just to see how long it takes for a watch to actually reach me).

Take your time to find out what watch you would like to try on your wrist, read about it here and
select the company which makes the (in your eyes) best. No Rep is 100 % genlike, and you have to
decide which little flaw is acceptable to you.
If you bought something you do not really get bound to, you can always sell it in the M2M section
with a little loss. Have fun on your way.

That is what I intend to do. Still figuring out the world of reps but I'm having fun so far.
And yes. I've gone through multiple threads where they've compared gen with reps and from what I understood, tells are only if you check the watch out up close? On the wrist, they don't appear to be that bad (except where color varies significantly). But yes.
I've also been going through the Cartier thread and there doesn't seem to be too many comparison threads there. I hope I get the factory I asked for since I've read on other forums where TDs tried to pass of watches from other factories as if they were from the factory the customer wanted. Keeping my fingers crossed.

To become a TD on RWI isn't that easy and takes a long time taking care for the customers and
beeing reliable. So I can't imagine a TD will take the risk to loose this position just to make one
Business.

That is true. And I read this on another forum IIRC. From what I've read so far, RWI is the ultimate when it comes to info so yes.
Still waiting patiently for QC pics. I know it'll take a bit since I assume Cartier isn't very popular amongst watch enthusiasts (compared to Rolex, Omega and the others).

I guess being a Cartier, QC pics take time? Since it isn't as popular as Rolex or Omega. I guess I'll wait till it's 10 days after payment to contact him regarding the delay.
