Hello fellow watch amateurs. So I made my first purchase with Trusty time and I went with a Perrelet Turbine for me and a Bulgari watch for my wife.
First off, I have to say Andrew was really nice and patient. He answered all my questions either same day of the next. Shipping to Canada was extremely fast and everything was super smooth.
I loved how well packaged everything was (see image). He really ensures the watches will not be damaged during shipping.
The Perrelet looks awesome and everyone who saw it was impressed. Did I spot a couple imperfections? Yes, but hey it's 1/10th of the retail price. Otherwise the materials feel great quality, the watch is actually very heavy. The movement is very smooth and keeps time very well (still perfectly on time after a week). I took a video of the spinning turbine but I can't upload it here.
As for the ladies watch, overall it does look super nice and genuine. The downside is the bracelet gets scratched under each link. Is it more of a fashion style bracelet and not some classic Rolex or Breitling type. Now it's not easy to see when the watch is worn and don't know if a genuine one would have the same problem. I think the lesson for my wife and I is to stay away from fashion watches and opt for classic looks instead. Also, the battery died only 2 weeks after receiving the watch. It's not a big deal in itself but I think we can expect new batteries from a factory product.
