12/20/22: Just sent deposit on BP Explorer I 39mm. I guess what's next are QC pictures and video. Steve was quick to respond to my questions through email.

Transaction rating 10 out of 10 stars.

This was my very first rep purchase. Initially I was somewhat nervous about the transaction. Casually reading this forum for a few months helped. I choose TheOneWatch because they had recieved shining reviews, especially when it comes to communication. I was not disappointed. Steve, answered questions within 24 hours, great communication. I believe "Steve" has to be more than one person to keep up with all the inquires in such a timely fashion.

Used PayPal F&F to pay for the watch.

12/20/2022 - Ordered and placed $50 deposit for BP Explorer I (had to order from factory)
12/31/2022 - Received 8 QC pictures and 2 QC videos (one with the watch on timegrapher) - approved/paid balance
01/03/2023 - shipping label was created
01/06/2023 - Received pictures of watch with shipping label sitting next to it, watch accepted by shipper.
01/09/2023 - Watch departed Shenzhen
01/12/2023 - Watch arrived at Chicago, released from customs
01/17/2023 - Watched was delivered

I would recommend TheOneWatch to a family and friends, and look forward to my next purchase.

As to the watch, the 39mm BP Explorer I is the smallest modern watch I own, and it'll take some getting use to. If it wasn't for the half-link adjustment in the bracelet I couldn't wear it. This is absolutely the smallest watch I would ever wear. Overall the fit and finish is quite good. The style is very understated, which I like. It's basically a tool watch.

My wife hasn't even noticed my new watch:ROFLMAO:

In her defense, I have quite a large collection of watches. But I've been wearing it non-stop since it arrived. I thought for sure she would say something about it. She's typically very observant when it comes to details. Once the Everest band I ordered for it arrives she'll probably notice it then since I rarely wear a leather band.

I will say this about the Explorer 1, it's a model for WIS geeks who don't really care if their wristwatches get noticed. Most of the general public are very familiar with the Rolex divers, but not the Explorer.

This particular watch is keeping good time +6 seconds a day. I haven't dismantled, cleaned, reoiled it or regulated it. I'm curious if I can get even better performance out of ths A2824.

I love playing the "will she notice" game with mine as well :ROFLMAO: I have one on the way and will see how long it takes this time.

She still hasn't given it a second look.

I put on the leather strap I ordered from Everest bands, and nothing. I thought for sure she would have said something. I guess she thinks it's one of my vintage watches I have with a leather band, that I very rarely wear. I don't know, I'm amazed.

PS: I after I ordered the rep specifically for this leather band, a band that cost almost as much as the watch itself, I now think I prefer the bracelet that came with it. I guess as much as appreciate a nice leather strap on other people's wrists, I'm a metal bracelet kind of guy.

Idk what it is about leather straps, but I just can’t wear them daily. I only wear them with my dressy watches. All the others are metal.

I was already expecting that the Explorer 1 is a nice kind of understatement but hadn't expected that it flies so much under the radar ... very interesting

Thanks for sharing ... and enjoy this nice tool watch

UPDATE:

It's been over a year of owning this watch, and it's held up to a lot of use keeping excellent time. I've very happy with it. It's my only rep, but I'm thinking about buying another.
