First purchase VSF SD43

After lurking for months and reading like I was prepping for the LSAT, I reached out to Sead for my first purchase. Email answer returned quickly and in acceptable time given time differences. QC picts we’re immediate. Payment made. Waiting for arrival from UK stock.

Been a watch nerd since my early years when I loved to look at my Dad’s watches. i have two genuine Rolex, Panerai, a Breitling Chronmat, and Tudor Pepsi GMT. Wanted a SD43 since it first came out and can’t find a dealer to sell me one, even offering to prepay. Was a lot easier through Sead.

Today I received the SD43. Well packaged. Arrived safe--before I received shipping details (likely because Sead was sick with a fever. The watch looks great. Working as expected. Winding felt smooth, a bit more heavy than gen but very acceptable. The bezel has a nice click, but turns a bit easer than gen. The 50 anniv red Sea-Dweller text seems a bit dark--perhaps it's a VSF thing. I noticed the date turns to the next date at 56 marker, four (4) minutes before minute hand hits 12:00. I'm pleased. Not sure if there is a better, more accurate model than the VSF. Feel free to respond it you've got experience with a factory producing a better model than VSF.

Here are the pictures of my unpacking and inspection. Amazing how many little stickers were on the watch to protect it. I have always had a salesperson pulling all those off when I've bought gens. New experience to do it myself.

I would not share pictures of the actual package here, that way everbody (customs) knows what his sendings look like and can spot them out of hundreds.
