Hey everyone, I just purchased my first rep from trusty time, the rolex day date platinum dial with stick markers. Will update this as it goes events go on
9/15/17 Emailed andrew about how to get the smooth bezeled dd, response in ~5 hours
9/16/17 Purchased watch ($308) with visa, no problems. However, he never sent a confirmation email for payment, so that's kinda weird?
9/17/17 Nevermind, he sent me a confirmation email that my order was being processed yesterday, but it was sent to spam..
9/18/17 Received QC pics, thought the date number was too far to the left, told him, but he told me "that the watch is the same as you see in the shop." Knowing I wouldn't get far, I decided to approve the QC pics.
9/19/17 Emailed andrew for the tracking #, he said he didnt shp yet
9/20/17 Tracking number received, item shipped
9/22/17 Package arrived in LA, customs cleared it
9/25/17 Watch arrived, good packaging. 10 days from first contact to receiving watch, very satisfied.
The watch's light blue dial is a bit lighter than what I expected, but I don't care too much about that. The back shows a 750 instead of 950pt, which is an error, and there is no small rolex etched crown at the 6:00 window area.
However, the watch feels quite nice and there are no obvious tells. Date window is aligned, magnification is probably a 2.2x imo, and the days are also well aligned.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase. Might consider buying a yachtmaster or submariner next, or switch to a vc overseas. Pics of watch coming soon, when I'm not busy with work.
Also, use the code TTW01 for $15 off one watch, TTW02 for $30 off two watches, I found out about this and was able to use it
