Wanted to share my experience from Germany.
Communication with Andrew was very pleasant and prompt, E-Mails were answered within a couple hours, usually less than 12. Questions were answered in a friendly and reassuring manner. Here's the timeline:
21.06.: Asked about JLC Ultra Thin Moon GF V4, was informed a few hours later that it is no longer available.
22.06.: Asked about JLC Ultra Thin Moon ZF V2, was informed this was in stock. Followed up with some questions about payment methods and shipping to Germany, which were answered within a few minutes of each other. Andrew advised to not add triangulated shipping via UK, and informed me that he will send it via special airmail to Germany. Placed order via website and received payment information, paid via bank wire to a bank account in the EU. Informed that payment has been sent and will wait for confirmation. Received confirmation that payment had been received two hours later.
27.06.: Received QC pictures and gave GL.
04.07.: Received tracking information.
19.07.: Received package. Upon arrival, the watch had a stuttering/skipping seconds hand. I didn't ask for a video during QC, so I'm not sure if it was already that way or if it happened during shipping. Either way, I contacted Andrew, also mentioning that sending it back would not be possible due to customs. He offered to take care of servicing fees and directed me to a watchmaker he knows in the EU, asking to be CC'd when I contact him and to stay updated on the situation. I was hesitant to send the watch away and did some research on the movement. I was then pretty sure I knew what the problem was and how to fix it, and estimated that my limited watch making capabilities would suffice to get the job done, so I ordered a smaller screwdriver which I would need.
20.07.: The missing tool arrived and I was successful in fixing the problem.
21.07.: I informed Andrew that I wouldn't need his friend's services after all, he reminded me that the movement has a 6 month warranty and should I need anything in the future, to gladly contact him.
All in all I would recommend Trusty Time. Andrew is very helpful and friendly, the entire transaction was much faster than I thought, the watch arrived in Germany without any problems. Though there was a problem which I ended up fixing myself, Andrew offered a realistic solution to get it fixed. I'm sure it would have also been sorted out had I contacted his recommended watch maker. Thank you Andrew and until next time!
