I read quite a bit of the new member threads, really appreciate the info so far. I know which watch I want for my first rep, and I found a website that sells it, would it be ok to post the name of the website here to ask you guys if it’s legit to buy from them?

If it’s on the trusted dealer list and you are using the link provided then it will be fine. If it’s not then nobody will advise you to purchase from another source
No problem, there’s so many scam sites and they’re always coming up with new ones. That’s why the advice here is to only buy from the trusted dealers on the list. They’re on the list for good reason. If they don’t happen to have the watch you want on their site, reach out to them, send an email and ask, chances are they can get it for you

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:
Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.
If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.
For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.
Don't be afraid to post noob questions in the new members area. In doubt, use the flame free zone. If you feel uncomfortable anywhere in the new members area, please reach out to @eBoy or me. Mutual respect is of utmost importance to us. On the other hand, we're grown-ups and are supposed to be able to deal with a bit of irony, don't take it personally, ever, a bit of irony never harmed anyone. If you want my advice, buy from the member to member sales for your first purchase. You are likely to get a better deal, quicker, and most importantly, QC'd by a veteran. QC is in my opinion, the part that suffers the most when you do not have experience.
The community is very active, ornery, supportive, and at times obsessively detailed. The sales thread should disclose any good or bad, or rarity that you may come across. Plus, you are supported to a degree by admins.
Just curious, but what are you looking to buy? If it's a Rolex, members sales have some amazing choices that can exceed Trusted dealer offerings. If I could start over, I would have bought from there.

Great advice, I’d like to find that thread and see what’s available. I love the idea of getting if faster! I’m thinking of getting this watch. I’ve never seen it (or really any others) in person, as I’m literally brand new to even wanting a luxury watch, but I thought it looked cool out of the watches I’ve perused online so far.

Tolerance level for scratches, stray hairs, and smell are a personal matter. This is where you have to decide. I've done as much as I can to get you started. We all view the value of these reps in different ways. There is no consensus on how to appraise watch wear and quality.
I have ordered from Trustytime and it's a good place to start if you want to get something new. Stick with the links in the TD list. They are willing to answer your questions before you commit.

Yes I had just come to that conclusion, I read a 19 page thread started by trustytime regarding this specific watch. I will be starting off with the SS v2. Thanks for all your help 🫡
