Hi all,

As the title indicates I am looking to buy my first PAM - I am a bit lost with all those reference numbers out there...

i know that this subject has been debated already a lot but I think the reps made significant progress in the last months so I thought a new thread would be ok. Which PAM would you recommend? I would like the watch to be a superrep and I generally like the submersible ones but I think they might be too big for my wrist. The watch should not be bigger than 44mm, preferably 42mm... what would you buy?

The PAM 682 is a 42mm submersible.

I was thinking about the 682 or just the 111. Does the 111 wear significantly bigger?

The 42mm's are a niche market in the real world and in the rep world too. It also depends on how you interpret the term superrep.

true so would you suggest to go for the 111 as the first PAM and it is also closer to gen? I just read that the 682 also comes in two versions both with different flaws..

How about a 411-418? These are considered superreps AFAIK since they have a closed caseback. I actually have one here with a nice Firenze back plate.

ah those are the boutique models offered by toro for very little money right? Is the only difference to the 111 the closed caseback? Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate your help and knowledge!

There are more differences, the numbers and hands are brown-ish on the 411, which gives it a more classy look than the 111 IMHO. You would have to check with Toro if he still offers them at that price. I purchased mine just because it was that cheap, haven‘t even worn it...

Some Risti lament that they'd like this PAM or that PAM but they're short on funds. Our problem is we own this PAM or that PAM but we have not worn it yet. :lol:

I had a similar dilemma, only recently got my first pam rep, went with a v6f Pam 000 which is superb. strongly recommend
