First Panerai

Hello,
I just want to buy me my first Panerai.
No matter wht modell it just should be as gen as possible.
I read a bit and came to the conclusion that the pam 111 n v3 would be the best pam out of the box. Am im right?
And what exactly are the factors i have to pay attention if i buy one from puretime.

I just bought the 111n v3, and it's very good indeed, but it has it's flaws in the movement incablock and swan neck regulator, so it's not exactly gen like, but those are very small issues
Maybe you consider a closed caseback, but i do like the 111n a lot

read Ale's PAM guide. He gives a detailed breakdown of every PAM that has been repped. In the PAM world, we have some that are super-reps and others that are good and then it goes down scale from there much like other brands.

Ale's guide is the most comprehensive and up to date source for any PAM rep, there you will be able to decide which model is right for you. He explains which are closest to gens and which have visible flaws.

But you gotta do the legwork, and do some heavy reading in the guide. In the end you will be happier with your selection. Only you can choose which watch is right for you.

I think the 111 is a great 1st Panerai

As a new member the statement below may not make sense
The 111 noob v3 could be the best Panerai rep available but it is not the most accurate out of the box as others because of the open caseback
All reps have flaws if you know what to look for
This statement may also confuse you
The noob ap Diver v3 is IMO the best rep ever made to date yet has flaws which are easily visible

If you want to not know the flaws buy the one that looks best/speaks to you
Or if you want to know each rep pam models flaws read ale's great and extensive guide in entirety

Expanding on my post
Direct to the point

I don't always look for accuracy alobe and build quality means more than visual accuracy

If I could choose a rep that is 95% accurate and looks great to me
Vs a rep that is 98% accurate and looks ok to me ; I would go with the 95 every time

thanks for your anwers.
I realy like open casebacks and i think the pam got one of the closest movements available.
So i think i cant go wrong with the 111.

Even if i got the v1 Roo diver i want the v3 but we all know the problem with Factory... So i need me a Pam first
