Just recived my first Panerai Rep today. Picked up one of Trevor's "Ultimate" PAM11H models. Overall I am very pleased with the watch. Fit/Finish is great (although like most reps the strap leaves a bit to be desired) and the movement (Asian Swan Neck 6497) is nicely decorated and functions smoothly keeping good time so far.
Sure, this one has most of the normal PAM rep flaws (the cannon pin fix is already taken care of though) but it's a nice rep none the less. It could use a slightly thicker CG and the CG Pin needs flattening and I will probably have the lume redone at some point as it fades fairly quick. Also the AR coating is too much & really needs to be removed or at least lightened. All minor annoyances for this overall great piece.
I've already ordered new leather from Gunny & Wotancraft for this and a PAM243 that Goin is building for me so they will both have new shoes soon.
All said, this is a great beginner PAM & also great for someone looking to do little or no mods it is a pretty nice copy right out of the packaging & I definately recommend this one for anyone looking for a nice PAM111H.
