Now that's interesting. Wonder if this is from the maker Angus talked about last time.

I own a 524, the reason why I went with that model is because I said to myself "hell they will never be able to rep this movement"... well damn, interest to see how the rep works

This is a great development, big effort and seems to be another milestone in Chinese rep watch making ... alas ...

We have only seen pictures of the watch, I would like to see a video of the center-seconds counters running, stopping and "flying-back" to catch-up.

So lets wait.

BTW ... the fly-back mechanism needs very good gears, without 0 tolerance!

This watch is supposed to have a 4th needle of black color. I am not very sure... Correct me if I am wrong, please.

.... the wording "catch-up" is a bit misleading ... the flyback-hand just flys back without stopping/resetting :D and the remaining seconds hands counts the minutes, so that would be the minute hand.

The one on the Panerai website shows it as white, so it's stainless steel.

Here is a vid of my Gen 524 as reference, LOL just remember what page it is cause next thing you know there will be 200 pages on this thread.

couple of things that I like to see regarding how the rep movement compares to Gen:

1) Date change is by hour hand, also it goes both ways meaning you can reverse the direction of the crown and the date will go backwards.
2) Second hand snaps to zero when the crown is fully pull out

I wouldn't get so excited
The movement seems a decorated Seagull and I don't see anything to think in a Flyback
Anyway we will wait for more info form dealers and makers

If you don't mind I have edited the title

Seems to be a normal decorated ST2555 with faux chrono-pushers @8 and @10.
So no real chrono, just constantly running chrono hands
