Hi everyone!

As the titlle says, i want to buy my first PAM, at first time they didnt like them a lot, they looked good to me, but never wanted to buy one... Now that im into the rep game, things have changed, cause they are a lot less expensive than the real PAM's.

What would you guys recomend for a first PAM? Something that can be getting me into more PAMs than taking me away from them...

I saw the 127 that trevor has (1950 case, i really like the shape of that case), is a cheap one as i dont want to spend a lot of money on something that maybe dont look good in my hand so....

What do you guys think? Can help me out to get a good and kinda cheap PAM for a really noob in all reps?

Thanks a lot

Hi and welcome to RWI. :)

If it's your first Pam choose something simple and go for the 005K or the 111M (noob). OO5 is sausage, 111 is sandwich.

This might sound strange and a little daunting (it certainly did for me) but a little reading will help you to learn the differences. Both of those watches I mentioned are the best you can get, at present, in my honest opinion.

Both have great high beat movements and are close to gen.

Good luck.

The Trevor version of 217 is not the most accurate at this moment and it is an old version. I don't recommend it.

You must go for 217 to the new versions more expensive

If you want an accurate PAM rep and cheaper go to:

PAM 111 N from Noob factory or PAM 005 from H or Noob. These are the best choices

I have read many things, and i almost know the diferences, as for now, the sausage dial is not of my like, the sandwich is the one i like the most, the 1950 case is the best looking of what i saw and the domed crystal really appeals me...

Sorry for my english

In this case you cannot go to 005 because it is sausage
You can neither go to Pam 111 because it is Luminor normal case not 1950

Therefore, you have to go to the 127 that you are talking about.
Up to you:
Cheap and less quality from Trevor or very accurate and great quality in the links that I have written above in my last post.

Do you think that the PAM 005 from torobravos is good enough for a first rep? I know the one you posted are the best but they are out of my range right now....

Maybe keeping an eye out in the member sale forum? Just saw a PAM 111M go for $180 today. I think it was noob, just skimmed through it the thread.

Save some money and enjoy the quality.

Enjoy :)

My first PAM was a 112, which I still have and wear on a regular basis--and love. PAMs are, if you ask me, all about simplicity. That's what drew me to the 112. Simple, elegant, comfortable..... And remarkably close to the original. You must set aside sufficient money for a decent strap. It'll make the watch. Trust me (millions won't, but I am trustworthy). ....I should warn you: I didn't know what Panerai was when I stumbled upon this site a few years ago. I turned out to be my first rep., and I was hooked. I now have a drawer full of PAMs and an irritated wife. Be prepared, and welcome aboard!

If you can't afford a decent rep for only $250 then you are going to look utterly ridiculous wearing ~$7g looking watch

Thanks for the nice answer, but i do because i like the watches, i like everything related to a watch, i dont wear them to look like i have a lot of money or something, i dont mind to tell that it is a rep if someone ask...

BTW a Panerai, here in my country, never will be noted, cause the people that like watches, you can count them with the fingers in your hands i would say...

Ohhh, and its not that i CANT afford the watch, i just dont WANT to spend in a watch that maybe is too big or whatever it could be, cause if i dont like it, i cant sell it here, as i say, just a very few people here may know what a PAM is...

To make your decision easier, Trevors sold out of the pam127 he has listed on his site (I asked him earlier today about it).

I agree with LupTak the pre-owned is a good solution.
Because some members could want selling even recently bought PAM 111 from H maker or even PAM 111M from Noob to buy the new PAM 111N from Noob

Torobravo's beginner cheap PAMs are very good too if you have not budget.
Even is good the old PAM 127 from Trevor or Timeshops
