I just ordered my first Pam - the 111m. I have purchased a few reps in the past, but not one that is manual winding. I have read many times on these threads that people have overwound their watches and the movement breaks. So, before I get my watch, what is the protocol for winding the watch correctly and getting the longest life out of the movement? What are the do's and don'ts for H/W watches. Thanks

I havent had any problems with my H.W's. you'll feel the crown getting really tight when it is fully wound, and that's that.

ps congrats on your first pam, probably not the last ;)

you should be able to tell. it gets tight. i worked with mechanical cameras for a long time. if you are doing something wrong, you should be able to tell. there is nothing you need to force, and there is no need to get it wound as much as possible. when it begins to get tight; stop. enjoy your new pam. they are wonderful ;)
