Thinking of getting a 382 but read some mixed reviews about bezels, though seems like a fun watch to wear.
Any models worth a look if I look for accuracy and decent quality control? Thanks guys

111, 005, 417, 243, 187, 388, 029, 312, 390... These are the first that comes to mind and you won't go wrong with any of them. It's best to read ALE's PAM guide, it is Panerai bible and it contains everything you should know about PAM reps and you'll easily find super rep of model you like. You can find it PAM section.

As for 382, I would wait for KW release as I don't like QC of Z-factory. I'm sure there is a lot of people here that will disagree with me but these are only my $0.02. ;)

If you like them big (47mm) don't leave out the 372. It is a gem as well.

If you like these watches
Buy PAM 312 KW V2 or PAM 390 Noob
Leave the PAM 372 for a future purchase

I've got a 382 on the way, but not sure I'd recommend that as your first PAM...is a very big watch. The PAM subs are already thick watches and fairly large on the wrist, but the PAM 382 adds that its made from a solid chunk of bronze. I'm not sure what the weight is exactly, but its going to feel like two watches on your wrist not one.

I'd start with something a bit simpler to get the hang of the PAMs. I'm partial to the PAMs with a bit more going on with the dial or the more classic versions, so I'd check out the 363, 253, 090, 089E (ti), and 127, then maybe 1 radiomir as well.

reason of 372 for future purchase?

Like many other models, there are versions available from more than one factory. The two most notable are the Noob version, which is the most accurate case and dial at this time (it is actually pretty good), but gives up the accuracy with the display caseback due to serious give aways with the movement. Then there is the PureTime version with the double barrel clone P3000 movement that has like 6 days pr, and the movement visually replicates the gen very well, but there are many silly flaws elsewhere on the watch that are not present in the Noob version.

It depends on what you are after in a watch and if the tiny details matter to you. I personally have the Noob and I am glad I purchased it, but I am not the type to buy the next best thing because they improved upon something I need a loop to see and I typically don't care about the movement in a display caseback being a give away. I'm not sure if there is another update coming to these versions.

The 372 is 47mm with polished case and brown sandwich dial. The 390 is 44mm with brown sausage dial. The 312 is brushed case with polished bezel, 44mm black sandwich w/seconds at 9. Each watch is considerably different, but good reps. You must decide what you like.

Remember this about straps. In general rep leather straps tend to suck. While you may love your new watch, you may love it even more on a nice custom leather strap.

Pam 111 is the way to go. Pam 390 2nd. I am partial to the 372 and 288.

Once you get one....it will not be your last.

Good luck and post review/pics when you get it!

I just bought my first rep recently and went with the ever popular PAM111 v3 from the noob factory because I wanted something close to a gen. I loved it so much I was able to source a PAM 127 which I love! The PAM addiction starts because now I want to look for more! LOL

The 372 is nice but isn't it only bordering on First Rep status? :)
