First PAM - 1305 vs 305 vs 024

Hello all,

as the title suggests I’m in love with these PAMS, but since this is going to be my first Panerai rep, I’m not sure which one to go with.

Between the 1305 and 305 which one would you choose and why? Is the 1305 that much thinner?

As for the 024, I always wanted DSN’s 024d but never pulled the trigger.

Also could you please direct me at a TD who carries the above?

1. I would choose either, it depends on your preference. Both look good and both have a movement that looks like the gen but do not have the gen function. The PAM1305 is thinner by 2mm but whether that is significant to you is another matter.
2. All TDs can get most reps. DSN watches are different in that they are made by the dealer so I doubt you can source those from anyone other than Davidsen. Now whether the watches are even available is something only the dealers and more importantly, the factories would know. You will have to ask each TD, because sometimes they have bought extra watches during the release and have them lying around.

I would go for PAM025 because of the hopnail dial.
I don't think davidsen made 24 and 25 anymore but you can ask

He actually released two new PAM024 watches around 2 years ago. He was supposed to release an update to the PAM025 but he worked on the Rolex 618 movement and then the PAM021 which used it. VSF just released a PAM024 a few months ago but it's the polished version so it would depend on tastes (the ones Davidsen made were all brushed metal)
