Opted for the Overseas 4500V SS/SS Blue MKS & Royal Oak 15400 SS/SS Black APSF

Hopefully I picked out good ones. MKS is fairly new, released in November 2023 which supposedly rivals ZF's model from March 2022. As for APSF, I assume it's holistically good enough atm after releasing V3 in 2022.

I'd say the response rate is pretty high especially compared to other TD's which is an appealing bonus. I'd like to thank Andrew for timely responses and keeping up with numerous questions, primarily seeing which ones were still in stock.

It's cool to see the history of models in these TD websites, but having an updated "in stock" feature would be very valuable though a luxury. Having a website UI to interact with is already great enough.

Also would be helpful to have easy locations to find the legitimate emails addresses in case anyone is legit guessing:

Just paid for the order and hopefully update the log like everyone else as I go. Cheers.

I Ordered the Overseas 4500V SS/SS Blue GDF MY8215 Cal5100 for $198.00 and the MASTER ULTRA THIN MOON SS APSF 1:1 BEST EDITION BLUE DIAL ON BLACK LEATHER STRAP SA925 SUPER CLONE for $408.00 at Chazingtime

I liked this Overseas 4500V watch and thought for $198 I could try and add it to my collection cheaply. Hopefully I will be happy with the quality of the watch from this GDF factory. Would like to hear what you think of your Opted for the Overseas 4500V SS/SS Blue MKS when you get it if you want to post of review of it and learn something about this MKS factory

Also I am like you taking a chance to find out if this APFS factory is of quality because I wanted this watch in my collection and ZF was telling Chazingtime they didn’t have JLC models I wanted available. Would like to hear what you think of your Royal Oak 15400 SS/SS Black APSF when you get it if you want to post of review of it

21/3/24: Received and Approved QC of MKS.

All in all, it took about 5 days and 14 days to receive QC photos for the AP and VC watches respectively. Going to be a while till I come back with an update for shipping.

Good timing on the comment, Conan301, considering that I just received the QC of the other watch today. I actually was looking to get MUT JLC from either APSF or ZF as well! I prefer APSF for the more recent updates of numerous stars as opposed to a few stars from ZF of the older MUT model. Still holding off though since I wanted to ensure my first order done and through before, and also, TrustyTime does not have APSF MUT JLC. Besides this watch, I prob will get a DJ or Daytona.

I'm very new so I won't be giving out quality reviews if anything since I still find myself asking around to even see if the QC's are okay. If I had more money to burn, I would've gone for ZF for both AP and ZF watches since they are well known and top notch, but that comes with their overpriced tags.

Thank you! Didn't bother with pics initially since they seem like any other popular model orders. Tried my best with the phone camera, not sure if there's any technique to the pics.

On a side note, I do need to find someone to resize the AP RO for me. The screws are too tight for me to get off with the 1.4mm or 1.6mm.

With the tight screws, could it be possible they are secured with Loctite? If so,using a lighter or real hot water or soaking in solvent are some ways you might be able to get the screws loose.

Let us know how you eventually make out.

Yeah I heard that it could've been with Loctite. I feel like I am too inexperienced to trust myself with handling the unscrewing if it involves Loctite. Then again, I'm wondering if I can take this watch anywhere to get it resized. Probably going to remove 3-4 links.

☝🏻good advice. I prefer using a lighter to break the bonds in the epoxy. Once done, you should be able to remove the screws without any drama. A last bit of advice is use the right size screwdriver (I don’t recall which size) when sizing your bracelet, too small and you’ll mess up the screws. Don’t ask me how I learned this. 🤣

Congratulations on receiving your new watches. Consider them gateway drugs to your new addiction. 🥰

I typically need three links removed too. I personally never had to resort to the techniques but I think I'll try the lighter if I need to. It will give me something else to do with it other than light cigars.

Haha thank you for the insights, all. I'll give it a shot whenever. Hopefully the lighter doesn't char the watch.

I saw a video somewhere of a watch bracelet getting heated with a lighter. It looked like charring could be polished away

You don’t need to charbroil your bracelet! Actually, that could permanently discolor the stainless steel. Just a couple of seconds is usually enough. Also, the process of heating and cooling also helps as the bracelet and screw will expand and contract independently.
