I have used a number of different TD's over a number of years but chose Andrew at Trusty Time for my latest purchases.
I was looking for a Tudor Pelagos XF Version 5 in blue for myself. In order to consolidate shipping costs I decided to chose a lower grade introduction watch to get my son into the hobby.
I chose Trusty Time mainly due to the fact they accepted Visa for payment - I only own one card, I was happy with the deal on it and was not keen on taking out a Mastercard just for a watch purchase.
I contacted Andrew with a quick stock check - Initial feedback was the Tudor was available but the first choice lower grade rep was not - Time to chose another. My son quickly chose a Breitling Super Avenger and the order was placed for both watches.
Payment was a bit sticky but Andrew quickly sorted this out.
Within a day or so Andrew advised the Pelagos was no longer available from stock but had proceeded with the Breitling with QC pics arriving quickly.
A bit of a nightmare as the whole order was based on the purchase of the Pelagos. I reminded myself that sometimes you need to be patient.
Andrew advised it would be a few weeks before the factory would supply the Pelagos,
I emailed weekly and on a couple of occasions the response was hopefully next week. Again I reminded myself to be patient.
I saw on reddit that there were a number of people waiting on the same watch so I knew the feedback was real.
Friday the 2nd April Andrew advised he hoped to have the watch at the weekend. Within a few hours a set of QC pics were received and after a quick check I gave him the green light.
Monday 5th April I received tracking info and the watches had landed in the UK early on Sunday 11th April.
Delivery by Royal Mail early this morning. The box was well packed and the watches secured perfectly within.
First impressions after a quick inspection is all looking great - Very impressed and delighted with the choices made.
All in - great service from Andrew - Fantastic correspondence throughout, The only frustration was missing out on the stock at the outset and having to wait for the next batch - something that Andrew had no control over.
Highly recommended TD and a dealer I will look to for future purchases.
