First order with Steve. Very impressed so far!

After wanting to finally buy a VSF rubber strap for my Omega Aqua Terra VSF, after being less than impressed with the cheap options from Aliexpress, I was unfortunately unlucky with other TDs who couldn't source them at the time, but Steve can.

The communication with him via WhatsApp was / is absolutely amazing, as I had lots of questions about the quality of the VSF strap, and despite this being a transaction for merely less than 100 USD, Steve has been extremely friendly and super patient and answered all my questions within the shortest amounts of time I've experienced with a TD yet.

I paid through Wise today and can't wait to receive the strap and I will of course report back as soon as I have the strap.

Since this was such a positive experience so far, I decided that my next rep watch purchase in the coming weeks shall be with Steve.

Since this is a raving review, I'd like to add that this is a 100% honest review and no discounts, coupons or any other compensation have been offered for this or the next purchase, and Steve was also unaware of my user handle on RWI, so no preference was given in service.

Steve has been my preferred TD for the last few months, what I really like about his service is that he lets you make a deposit first and pay the balance once you get the QC, I’d just put a deposit on a bunch of models and don’t really mind when it comes in because I’m not paying everything up front.

With regards to the communications, top notch, especially with his current volume, I think he’s averaging more than a hundred orders a day! Not sure if Steve personally handles all of the communications, I think he has a staff that helps him with it, but everyone still uses his name.

With his current setup, Steve is my TD for the foreseeable future

I think there is at least 2 or 3 “Steves”. He would reply to my emails when it was 1AM in China. No matter, it’s great service!

Update: A small & minor tiny liiiiiiiiiiittle disappointment. I was told that QC for the strap will take around 3 weeks, plus the time since payment, it will have been a month if true.

Other TDs told me that those straps are not available at the time, so I hope Theonewatches keep their word nevertheless to get it in 3 weeks.

But then again, I can't be preaching patience to the noobs and then get bitchy about just a strap, so I'll put my big box pants and just ...

... until they get my strap from VSF. If it's two or three months in the end, it doesn't matter. Main thing is they get it at all.

Decided to switch my order to a watch instead (PAM VSF). Tried to pay by Wise again. No chance.

Wise has become an ABSOLUTE shitshow. I can't even transfer 50 USD to their Chinese Union Paycard without Wise screaming for proof that I'm not laundering money. Upon sending them all the docs they want, they just cancel the transfer, causing non-refundable fees on my credit card... Awesome!

I transferred 20 times the amount to a different Asian country via Wise with no issues a few hours later. I wonder if this is political or if the account Steve gave me triggered their money laundering detection algorithm. Anyway, it's ridiculous... Wise used to be great once. So sad.

Steve arranged for an alternative payment method almost instantly!

PS: When I initiated the other transfer to a different region in Asia, they asked for zero docs. Political or not, the problem is "geo-related" (Wise claims local EU regulatory laws are causing this ).

Little update: I discovered a PAM1393 (that I had ordered with Steve) on Sead's EU stocklist, so instead of waiting for VSF to supply the Panerai, I bought it from Sead and changed my order with Steve to an IWC 327006 from V7F. QC photos arrived in less than a week.

I approved the watch on Sunday and it should be shipped any day now.

Very happy with the purchase. A bit of an interesting journey from a VSF strap to a VSF watch to this, but Theonewatches was extremely patient and very responsive! This will definitely not be my last watch with Steve!
