My first watch after being out of the replica watch game for over 5 years!

Andrew answered all my questions promptly and was very helpful.

Just a log of the timescale for anyone interested:

  • 5th July Ordered watch and made payment
  • 8th July payment verification/confirmation email
  • 14th July QC Pics received, green light given from myself to proceed
  • 17th July Tracking info provided
  • 22nd July Received watch :)

Just for context I have a 7.5 inch/ 19.05 cm wrist

Will be looking to change out the strap for something similar but slightly longer to accommodate my wrist size as the strap the watch comes with it is on the small side (I have to use the second from last hole!)

Strap length that comes with the watch is approx 115cm/75cm

(appolgies for the bad quality photos!)

That's a sweet watch.
Would love to know if the movement and hands pose any issues. I hear the 9 and 6 dials are swapped vs gen but idc.

Thank you :)

The 9 and 6 dials are as the genuine, IW391029 (see genuine pic below)

I think its the pilot series IWC replicas that have the 9 and 6 dials in the opposite locations when compared to the newer genuine pilot series.

Regarding the movement/hands I haven't had the watch long so couldn't comment on any issues but hopefully I don't get any (fingers crossed!) . I have heard that when setting the day/date on this particular movement you have to make sure the hands are in a specific position otherwise you risk causing damage to it.

Thanks for the details and correction on the 6/9. Keep us all posted of your thoughts. I was looking into this IWC, so very interested in hearing all pros and cons.

Lovely watch..!
Would love to hear an update on how the watch is running. And in what position the hands need to be in order to set the date properly without doing any potential damage. Thanks!
