29/3 - payment made & pending confirmation from CT.
3/4 - CT listed wrong price for the watch I want and request for additional payment, Full payment made and confirmed by CT.
5/4 - Fast QC pictures available from CT, but I rejected the QC due to movement problem with 351 degree amplitude, that lead to overbank and harming the escapement & anchor.
9/4 - Same watch fixed by CT with lower amplitude (312), QC approved.
12/4 - package shipped.
19/4 - package arrived, test running the watch.
20/4 - The watch has problem, second hand at 6 o'clock stop running after stop & reset the chronograph. Emailed to CT to advice further on this the problem.
21/4 - CT provided address to send back the watch for warranty / repair.
27/4 - After careful consideration and advice from local watchmaker, I decided NOT to send back the watch to China because the risk of loss watches.
Local watchmaker has troubleshooted (simple chronograph start-stop-reset, without opening the case) advised the watch has problem on the RESET system, so it impacted the vertical clutch gear when resetting the chronograph. The solutions that watchmaker provided are:
1. I can let the chronograph run all the time, the chronograph second hand served as normal second hand, OR
2. stop the chronograph second hand without resetting it.
I am fine with these solution so far.
The entire buying process is not pleasant because of the watch having problem.
However, QC team - Alice has been helpful when she trying to troubleshoot the problem via email.
Overall satisfactory rating is 3 out of 5, if this watch run perfectly, It will be 5 out of 5.
