First order from Hont - ORF Seamaster 43.5mm Ceramic

Hi guys,

just want to detail my purchase with Hont because it is possibly one of the "longer" experiences:

- 19 Feb 2023: Contacted Hont via Whatsapp to inquire about availability of Seamaster Black Ceramic Titanium
- 20 Feb 2023: Hont confirms ORF availability, price and payment details
- 22 Feb 2023: Wired payment (via bank transfer)
- 24 Feb 2023: Hont confirms payment receipt
- 9 Mar 2023: Asked about QC, Hont replied quickly that ORF hasnt delivered yet
- 12 Mar 2023: Received QC for the wrong watch (ORF black/black); told Hont it's the wrong watch; quick reply from him that he will change
- 25 Mar 2023: Asked for QC again
- 26 Mar 2023: Hont replies that he is still waiting

Even though this has so far been less than ideal for my first purchase, Hont has been very responsive and quick to reply via Whatsapp.
To be honest I started wandering whether I should just switch to a different watch, but I really want this one....

If anybody wants to share their longest QC wait to make me feel better, just let me know ;-)

It's been a while, but as faith would have it the recent raids hit ORF as well and I changed the watch.
Update on the timeline:

- 2 April 2023: Hont sends info that ORF got raided
- 3 April 2023: Changed the watch to VSF Omega Worldtimer
- 4 April 2023: Hont confirms availability and price difference
- 6 April 2023: Hont confirms receipt of additional funds & provides QC & GL from me
- 8 April 2023: Hont provides shipping number
- 13 April 2023: Watch passed customs in Europe
- 15 April 2023: Watch arrives in Frankfurt with DHL
- 16 April 2023: Fingers crossed for delivery this week ;-)

Final Update:
- 18 April 2023: watch delivered to my doorstep

Just a couple of points (posting from my phone):
- Delivery was insanely fast (10 days)
- packaging was great and secure
- watch arrived in perfect condition

First impressions of the watch:
-Time keeping is better than the timegrapher numbers when on the wrist (2 secs per day)
- Look and feel on the blue rubber strap are much better than on the bracelet, it's insane (so glad i got both straps)
- i feel that the world map looks a little too much like painted rather than the gen where it looks more like metal. Will compare to a gen tomorrow
---> Overall it's a fantastic first rep for me

Unfortunately didnt have time to get the gen on the wrist, only to check it out through my jewelers window at about 50cm distance, so take this with a grain of salt:
I still feel that the main difference is in the worldmap. VSF landmass has a green hue, gen appears brown/gold/metallic. But that is also highly subjective to ambient lighting......

I honestly couldnt spot any other differences at that distance.
