Hey guys. So I purchased my first Rep from Asian7750.

He sent me QC pics, and to my very untrained eye, all looks good.

My real question is about something Tony said.
He said:" I just received your watch, and it seems to work for 1 day. Do you approve of these pictures?"

Is it common to specify that it works for one day and then quickly ask to approve pictures?

Also, does the back black part seem scratched?

Isn´t the rotor supposed to be "skeletonized"(don´t know the correct term)?

Man that subdial covering the "12" is a bit strange ain't it?

Should this watch not look like the below?

And the movement has only 25 jewels on the gen
Yes to both questions. Are those details that are usually repped perfectly?

I think Mirage has the same watch, maybe he can fill in on this?

You were looking at the wrong watch.

The only real differences so far that I see are the jewel count, and the skeletonized rotor.

But my real question is whether it's standard for a seller to say it works for one day.

Oh, you were looking at the wrong watch, now that I compare. Look at the gen and the rep.

You are right dantech, the gen also has this weird 12 cut at the bottom

I find this watch very strange compared to other versions like the one I posted. Those subdials, I just can't seem to like them

You shouldn't post the QC pics here to focus on your real question.

What the TD probably means with the power reserve observation is that this is quite small compared against the usual 42 hours for the gen ETA movement.

I would ask the TD to source another one and see if the power reserve is better. If not, probably means this is the best you are gonna get.

He could be saying it has been working for a day since he got it, i.e. running properly for the 1 day he has had it. Just ask for clarification, although that can be difficult with the language barrier.

And I agree that posting the QC pictures didn't help your cause as it made this post get off topic very fast.

I guess I didn't think this through. This is the first Rep I'm buying so very anxious.

I would tend to agree with this sentiment. I got this 3 years ago when it came out -- great rep and a really nice alternative to other brands that can get stale. Wear it in good health!

This makes a lot of sense. The derailing of the thread was my fault, as I should´ve read what OP was asking for, rather than focusing on what I thought he was asking about. Sorry. I have 2 Timewalker reps with what appears to be the same movement, it holds about 12 hrs power reserve, and can be wound up about 10 rotations.

Ok I'm going to say yes to Tony. Now the waiting begins. Anyone know how long typically to Canada?
