I recently got a 411 kw from a great member here and then it showed up I was really happy with it, other than the CG pin I had been reading about. It wasnt even flat, but raised. So after some reading I grabbed the sand paper and some polishing compound and got it looking decent, atleast to my reckoning. So how'd I do fellas?

Did you do the CG as well? The grain looks uneven. Line it up against something flat and make sure you sand straight and in one direction.

So, what was the process you used? What type of compounds were used to polish?

I didnt touch the CG, tho I think I might see what your talking about.

Sorry, I shouldn't have been so negative. Do give it a shot at fixing it though... although it could just be the lighting in the pic. But the pin does look very nice, flat and well polished.
