Hi all, I bought the BB Red from PT a few years back when it was just released. Was that from the ZF factory? I forgot. Lol

Anyways, I have been wearing it until today and it has been my daily beater. Recently I was thinking of modding it. As gen parts are hard to come by, I was thinking of going the HR way.

My questions are:
1. Is it worth to proceed with modding or should I just get a newer and more accurate version?
2. Will HR parts fit the first gen BB Red rep?
3. Any recommended HR mods? Dial, bezel insert + assembly etc.
4. Parts are quite limited on HR's site. Are they always updated? Or should I just email him with my requests?

Appreciate all comments and suggestions. Thanks and have a nice weekend.

Hi, i just recently sold a fully HR Modded BBR. The parts are in stock, you just have to email her. I would get Dial, bezel and hands together as the lume would mismatch if you mixed it with ZF's parts. Thats pretty much as gen like as you are going to get modding the BBR rep. And yes the parts should fit. Heres the sales thread i posted you can see pics of the modded BBR there.

Hi robinstyler, yes I saw your post on the sales forum. It was actually because of it which gave me an idea to go the HR route. Thank you for the advise and suggestion.

Also, by replacing the bezel assembly, did it solve the free play and stuck issue which is quite common for earlier gen BB?

No, what you have to do is take out the bezel and there is a metal ring inside. You have to sand it on the inside a little so it gets a little bit thinner. That will free the bezel stiffness. Mine was a ZF V4 so i dont know if the earlier models use a metal ring too.
