What advice would you like :) How good is the rep? How to buy the watch? Where to buy it?....

Hi, You will never know if You don´t try out:) Just get it and PAMs are just great watches and well done, You will be surprised. The 372 is around for more time, the 605 seems brand new and has the superclone movement with great power reserve, maybe difficult for maintenance in the longer term otherwise something special. The asso-strap is the best rep-strap around except the rubber one. Have fun

I would wait a few days for the 605, unless until the dial has the correct sunburst finish, otherwise it looks very nice.
As Daywatch said, the 372 could still be the best choice, here's my noob:

Who to buy from - all the trusted dealers on here are good, I personally would use intime (Ryan) or puretime for your first purchase. Email them to ask if the watch is in stock before you send the money as the website will most likely be out of date for stock levels.

Welcome to the forum, you will learn an awful lot about reps here in a short amount of time, and you will have the addiction soon enough, trust me, I've had a 2 year break away from it all and its still pulled me back in for more :)

If I were you I'd go for either a 111 or a 112 for you first PAM, even the cheaper ones are very, very good indeed.
BTW, you know there is no such thing as owning "just one" PAM, yes? Buy one and you are doooooomed!

Gen PAM 605 has a beautiful grey sunburst dial, if you scroll down the page in PAM section you will find a couple of threads about it :)

My first pam was the Noob 390. I think many here will agree that is AMAZING. Not only a HIGHLY accurate rep (if not the best, than top 5) but a gorgeous watch. Something about the tabacco dial, gold hands, shiny SS case ... just so very classy. I wear it with a gunny edbert strap.

Like Daniel above, after many hours of search, I ordered a 390 (h-fac). LOVE the brown dial. The h-factory is not as accurate of a rep overall as the latest noob, but if I remember my research right, the dial and the hands are very good.

Sead has it on special for $159 plus shipping. That's where I ordered mine.

This is a wise decision for a first PAM rep

And H maker is a true bargain. One of the best quality/price ratio in rep market

Congrats

Wow - same experience for me too.

Love the looks of PAM's, but to be honest wasn't interested in 'why so many versions of the same watch'. knew it would be one of my first reps and i went for H fac 390 too. Amazing watch, despite i've had quite a poor experience of buying it (arrived as a chrono with hand detached), but another member is looking at it for me.

But, have justified to myself that i can put a nice croco strap on it and it can be a dress watch, meaning i can get a 111 with either asso or military strap too.

I started looking to get a carrera, bought a cheap quartz so far because i'm still not decided.

thank you, Ale!

Especially for a first Pam, the price is unbeatable.

I know I love the sweet looks of base Luminor Pams and Pams in general , but what if I don't love the way it looks ON ME? Even in that unlikely case, I am out much less money.

My first Pam was a 422, horrible is it can be as far as being an accurate rep but I still have it and wear it proud!
