This is ALL my fault. It's my first time purchasing a rep. I told Andiot that I wanted a Seamaster Diver 300M SS "COMMANDER’S WATCH" AIF Limited Edition on SS Bracelet A2824. He said that they were available and it took about a week for him to get it. The QC looked fine so I gave him the GL. My screw up is that I've been looking at so many Seamaster 300s and did not realize that on the GEN it appears that the bezel is painted but the numbers are in steel. It appears that my watch the numbers are painted white, like most of the other Seamaster 300s. So you can tell that my watch is a rep from a mile away. The watch on Andiot's site appears correct so essentially I've got the wrong bezel. If I had recognized this I would have asked them to switch the bezel but now it's enroute to the US.
So what do I do? It's not Andiot's fault, it's mine for not catching it before I GL'd it. I can't/won't ask him to take it back. Does anyone have any suggestions? Since there are only 7007 of these watches (GEN) in the world it's unlikely anyone would even know. Would it even be possible to buy the right bezel?
