First and Second order with PureTime - An honest review

I'm not much of an author so I'll keep this short, over the last month or so I've ordered two separate watches from PureTime in two separate batches. - I made the move over from another TD as prices looked better, and I'm a sucker for a good deal!

On 4/21/2024 I ordered (100282924) both:
  1. SUBMARINER 41MM 126610 LN BLACK CERAMIC 904L STEEL VSF 1:1 BEST EDITION VS3235
  2. ROLLIE BOX AND PAPERS NEW VERSION
and subsequently on 4/25/2024 (100283054) I ordered
  1. 2023 DAYTONA 126519 CLEAN 1:1 BEST EDITION GRAY DIAL ON OYSTERFLEX STRAP SH4131
My total amount spent over these few days came to 1357.83.

Order 2 Review (100283054)

I'm starting with Order 2, as this experience was great! After ordering on 4/25/2024 I was very quickly updated with the Wise payment information as required; communication was a little slow on the confirming of the payment (Approx 36 hours), but all went through fine and without issue. QC was provided only four (4) days later, and after confirming I was happy the order was shipped. Shipping wasn't the fastest (as to be expected), but was more than adequate! From being shipped out on the 3rd May, the watch arrived to me just yesterday in the UK on 16th May. Packaging was great, and the watch in perfect condition.

Unfortunately there have been quite a few issues with Order 1; I'm relieved I ordered both watches to understand that perhaps I'm just unlucky with my time zone, so things may feel more dragged out than they have to be, but I'll share the experience for those who may have, or will experience the same thing)

As mentioned above, I ordered Order 1 on 4/21/2024, received payment information fairly quickly, and paid without issue, similar to Order 2, confirmation of payment took a little bit longer than I'd liked for my first order with the TD, but eventually everything was confirmed, and I was happy. QC pictures came in REALLY quickly, in a matter of under 48 hours after making the payment. I was delighted with the watch, and asked PureTime to ship, which they did.

Receiving the tracking number took a little bit of time, but nothing not to be expected with the volume of a TD, after receiving the tracking number I started my wait, checking the tracking daily using a handy solution provided by the TD. This is where I noticed something strange, eventually Order 2 started to surpass order 1 in its tracking progress which made me think there was a slight issue with the shipping. I reached out to the TD, who confirmed there was an issue with the order & they would be happy to reship. This was quite a few days ago.

After asking some questions around if I could receive QC for the new Watch & Box that would be reshipped, I started to not receive any direct answers, and seem to have been ghosted. Following the delivery of Order 2 yesterday, I have decided to test my luck and have sent another email asking the TD to reship the Watch & Box, as I do not believe I will be getting QC for a reship, and would rather have something in a few weeks time, than potentially nothing for months. I accept that shipping problems aren't the fault of the TD, and it's amazing that the TD is happy to state they they will reship free of charge, but I'd be keen to see some movement on the promise to reship.

Conclusion

For first time buyers, I think PT have a great website and a pretty slick payment process, but I'd maybe stick with ordering a single watch and hoping you have a shipping experience like I did for order 2, rather than order 1 as they really fall down and suffer when problems occur with shipping & reshipping needs to take place.

Thanks for your great review. It is because this shipment was seized by hongkong customs before being exported from China so we offered to reship your order but it seems your email to confirm reship didn't reach to us. We didn't recieve any emails from you after 15th. Since you confirmed here, so we will prepare the reship and you should recieve new QC pictures in next 2-3 days, Thank you
