Of course any time we click on anything, we get flooded with advertisements. I clicked on a Filippo Loreti ad, and now they're everywhere. On the flipside, they've got some really good watches, imho. Does anyone have any experience with these? Good? Trash? What? Thanks for any insight.

Really not a political comment, but they make Trump's watches. If that means anything.

Figure he'd be wearing some $20k timepiece, not an inexpensive FP 🤔
Well no, he doesn't wear them.

Let me correct myself, they make the affordable watches for his Trump Watches line.

Gotcha. They have some very good-looking pieces, a bit copycat on some, but good-looking nonetheless. And right now on their website, it's BOGO 👍🏼

If you put the most expensive FL on my wrist, it'd burn me like acid and as tough and macho of a man I think I am, I'd cry, drop to my knees and beg you to take it off.

I think you can find way better pieces for the money. Take a gander a some of the microbrands on AliExpress like San Martin, Seestern, etc. If you're looking to scratch an itch, normally that's what I go to.

@Cheesegrater Upon further review, most seem to agree with you. Guess I should probably save up for that gen Movado/diff reps I've been eyeballing instead of multiple cheapos.
uuuuuuhhh...... Movado has fallen off grace since their TUngsten watches. They are now shit and they also bought MVMT brand for $100mil .

If you want a respectable gen I recommend Seiko or Citizen.
THey are like $300-$500 for a good one.

I saw a review about san martin and maen recently along side C.Ward.

You think those 2 chinese watches are the quality of a lower end indie watch maker?

I haven't had a Christopher Ward in... honestly almost a decade. I remember they were very good. If you can get a CW, I would probably go that way.
But, they're also not as affordable as they used to be. Only reason I'd go for the CW is probably for the movements, I'm tired of the NH lines and not every microbrand is using ETA clones.

I'd say the these Chinese microbrands are giving brands like Farer, C Ward, even Tissot a run for their money. San Martin has been killing the finishing aspect of them. It has become quite a challenge to willingly say "I want a Indie watchmaker with Swiss movements" when that's the only current difference.
