Hi guys, I understand that the v2 BPFF has the "crooked 9" marker issues. However, I'd like to check if anyone is experiencing the same issue as I am which is a crooked 12, specifically the "1" numbering after a closer inspection.

Can anyone of you advise if this would be an easy fix for a watchsmith? Is the marker fixed with glue and does the movement need to be taken out for a fix like this? Thanks in advance.

The 9 on mine is like a slap in the face, don't need a grid to be noticed. Does anyone know if it's possible to fix the issue?

your grid is two dimensional and doesn't take into account perspective nor lens distortion with the watch not being exactly front on.
do you have this watch in hand or are these from QC pics ?
the 12 on my V1 was slightly off but unoticible on the wrist.

Does anyone know if the numbers are glued on the dial? Or do they have feet? I'm just back from my watchsmith's and he says that he can fix the problem if they're glued.

It looks like grid is aligned with the Blancpain if you rotate your phone 3 degrees CCW when looking at this photo the numbers and markers look passable. It's the name Blancpain and Fifty Fathoms and depth hat are stamped crooked. That is what I can see laying in bed just after waking up at 4:30 AM

Likely with a feet and some holes on the dial. The number cannot be moved without enlarging the hole or making new hole to shift the number.
Try to source another dial from the dealer?

ShiroTenshi : Thanks a lot for your help, just what I needed. I'm actually trying to convince myself that it's not so bad. I can still ask around for the dial, but I'm afraid that it's either unavailable or bloody expensive..

I don't think so (however just an educated guess), otherwise the numbers would most possibly not be crooked. So maybe there is a member who can tell from experience if the numbers are fixed with glue (most likely IMO) or with pin/hole?

I don't have one of these watches, and I've never had access to one. I have read several times that there is frequently a problem with the number 9. This would suggest - strongly - that there is a manufacturing defect with either the dial or the number 9 - that the fixation must be based on the pin & hole system. Otherwise we must believe that the Chinese are unable to correctly glue the number 9 - and only the number 9 - straight.

OP you're making a fuss about nothing - your grid isn't square to the watch face, and despite the fact that you've magnified the photo by 2000% it's still barely noticeable. Buy a gen if you're this obsessed with tiny details.

I'd guess feet on the numbers as so many are wrong.

You could clip off one of the feet and re-glue if it bothers you that much once you have the watch and it still annoys you.

My v1 is my favourite watch.

As a matter of fact, this is a pretty common flaw when ZF is assembling their IWC reps, there's almost always a crooked 11 due to exactly that problem: They are unable to glue it correctly. Nobody knows why that only happens to the 11 though.

Miss-aligned feet on the number 11? ... won't take much - 0.20 mm and it'll stick out like sore thumb...

But it's still a bloody shame that they can't employ someone more qualified than these blind apes, who can't stick the bloody number to the dial straight. It is a 460$ rep after all and not some Canal street shyte..Such basic flaws...Or maybe there's a plan for a V3 with the straight 9 :D

No misaligned feet, since there are none, just a crooked digit "1" at 11. No big deal for a watch smith, however, a common and well-known flaw. Maybe someone working with ZF is 11-allergic. :D
