There are other 'older' versions of this rep on the market.
The latest batch wasn't hardly enough to fill the demand on top of it being delayed for mysterious reason... and so there is a current batch (like a day or two ago) that is released.
Nothing was mentioned in any thread about the next (current) batch. I'm interested to know if it had changed ever so slightly, is a different factory involved... Is it better, same or not as good?

Hi Wittnauer,

Thanks for the reply.

Any idea how to tell that it's the older version? Or is that just a cheap junk rep that you can easily spot.

The seller stated that it comes from zfac... But never heard anything about it before, even in geek forum like here or RG

Ryan (intime) has the last version (and so does puretime but his website is down):
Fifty Fathoms 1:1 Noob Best Edition SS Black Dial on Sail-canvas Strap A2836
this edition is superior to all previous versions but I'm curious about the batch that's currently released.

The one listed on intime and puretime are the current released batch. From what I understand they have been coming out in small batches. I just recently purchased one of the most recent batches (I purchased from a TD late last week) which I believe is the 3rd batch. Hopefully we'll start seeing this trickle out more frequently. It seems to be a guaranteed sale for all TDs.

As for the older versions of the watch, there are chronograph versions and vintage models. very easily to tell apart from the recent Noob FF model. The vintage models are a little smaller @ 41mm I think and have plexi crystals instead of domed sapphire cyrstals

I haven't seen this Noob model repped before. i may be wrong, but i haven't ever seen it before. If you check out Davidsen's TD page, he does a lot of the vintage style builds. I think Puretime had some of the chrono versions listed there at one point too. But I've never seen the 5015 model before this current Noob model.

Z-Fac is the authorised dealer for Noob products. You're talking about the same watch, but one dealer is giving it the name of the manufacturer (Noob) and one is giving it the name of the distributor (Z-Fac).

It was for me too! Apparently a lot of the factories, both big and small use Authorised Dealers to sell their products.

You wont be disappointed, I've been wearing mine for about a week now and can't imagine myself wanting another watch for a while! I haven't enjoyed one as much since my gen SMP.

It's amazing... My only complaint is that the crown is a bit hard to lock in

You might try some silicon grease and maybe try sanding the threads a little. I got lucky in that mine has much more of a gen like feel than all but a couple of my reps, my first thought when working the crown was "this thing is slick".
