Fiddy or Homage for Hamilton 917?

Hey Guys

I've managed to get my hands on a Hamilton 917 movement recently and I want to have a watch made around it. I'm a big fan of 47mm watches and especially the DSN Fiddy.

What are your thoughts on my doing a Fiddy with 917 movement. Is this stupid? Should I go homage instead?

The Hamilton has lip that needs to be removed in order for it to fall into a panerai housing. To do it right you have to completely disassemble the movement. You may want to consider doing a homage piece... I've also looked into this myself and found cases specifically designed to make the Hamilton 917 a wrist watch on eBay. Smack a 39mm dial and hands, you'll be set.
