Marlin sure does an awesome work on the fiddy ...Did you find the WSO crystal not as raised as the stock crystal from the fac?

yes, I think this one is a tad shorter, but it may just be an illusion because of the difference in shape.... what I'm curious about is after the mod does the swan neck now work through it's field or is it just a cosmetic mod? I've asked Marlin and waiting for a response..... I'd be happy either way as it doesn't effect the functionality of the movement.... but it's still a interesting subject....before the mod it's clearly not functional, but after I can't tell but it looks as though it could work.

From reading the very detailed thread by ALE on swan necks, the conclusion is that it is cosmetic.

I paid about $200 for the strap.... I've got close to a grand in this one.... so not quite as bad as you're thinking and not nearly as much as I've put into the Rolex build I'm on... so all in all I'm very grateful that these come from the dealer as good as they do.... I may eat these words but after I finish up a few odd and end fixes on my TC, then finish my 16800 grail watch, I'm done with Rolex.... I'll stick with Pams and there's a Tudor I want..... but def no more Rolex..... The Pam team is just so good at providing quality info for those who'll take time to read it, it really makes it easy to have a very nice, close to gen watch without that costly, painstaking trial and error you have to go through with Rolex..... I'd suggest all noobs looking to sink money in the rep world start with a Pam after reading the info provided by our guys here in this section....
