I would like to share with you my just received Panerai 177 N from famous H-Factory (Hublot factory makers!).
I got this watch from one of the trusted dealers of RG (what a shame...
but due tu cutoms reasons, it has been a great choice.
Small introduction for VERY PAM noob, the 177 is lthe same case as the 005/111/... but with titanium (light case).
I am a Rolex lover, and this is my first PAM. My first impression is really good. The watch look pretty well finished, the titanium looks wonderfull and I really like the "sandwich dial" (two slices stacked). For a "non-Panerai expert", this dial has really something.
Then, the typical panerai style of the crown-neck looks nice, and with my noob eyes I cannot see space between case/neck which seems good for me.
After, mecanical movement is fun to wind up, but, after one week, automatic movement is much better ! Lazy man I am !
The lume is amazing.... . not any other words for this...!
The saphire on the caseback shows the movement. This H factory N serie has platinium movement with "dagger". I am not 100% aware of difference with previous version, but as far as I know, it's "hot" now! Once again, with noob eyes, the movement is very nice to look, the decoration on it feel nice. Great for me.
This titanium watch is very light compare to my other watch (for a 46mm watch). I am happy to wear it and I think I could keep this watch wearing 24hours a day, very confortable!
Regarding the H-Factory strap, everybody knows this but it's a crap. Not smooth at all, damaged after 4 wearing by the buckle... . I changed this with a Toscana leather strap and an aligator honey strap is on his way!

After all these positives things, I have to admit that I am not 100% satisfied regarding the sapphire/crystal.
I never saw a Gen Pam so maybe I am a little bit to nitpik but the effect when you look at the watch with a special way, the crystal look too think and deform the watch. I tried to capture this on the picture below :
Question for Gen Pam owner, is it the same on Gen watch? Do you know if a good double AR will change this?
And the last thing about ths crystal is about the number reflection on the crystal. I try to capture this on the picture below :
I don't know if it is the same on gen but that bother me...!
Do you have an idea if a good double AR will solve this? Or if the problem is comming from the Crystal and the only thing to do is to change it?
So to conclude, as always when you try to seach and gather information on a rep before getting it, I am really satisfied with this watch. For a little bit more than 200 bucks + 50/100$ in a decent strap, you get a almost perfect watch (I am noob in pam!) "out of the box"
