FedEx Message

Hi,
I hope you are well. I bought a watch from Elliot, he's been great. The watch was shipped yesterday. However, today, I received an SMS from FedEx that seemed suspicious. Is this likely a scam, or is it normal?

I already paid for the shipping. Also, I was told to track my parcel with PFC. I would appreciate your assistance.

If the country you live in has import taxes, you’ll of course have to pay them if your item gets controlled/inspected. It has nothing to do with the TD, it’s enforced by the country you live in. For me personally, it’s hit or miss - sometimes I have to pay, other times I don’t.

I can’t speak to the legitimacy of the message you received though. I never click on links sent to me in messages.

I've had similar messages from FedEx in the past. They pay your import fees and any taxes so "you get your item quicker" The feckers then charge you VAT for a service you didn't ask for but is likely to be hidden in the small print

Having worked for FedEx - can confirm......

fedex.com. so it looks legit. But why is the amount so low? I'd imagine taxes on expensive watches would run you more than 100 GBP at least.

That is confirmed a SCAM ... recently the ways scam syndicates work are ridiculous.

They can think of any methods just to be able to hack through your phone.

Be careful.
